This is our tentative route. Nothing is set in stone and we have no hotel reservations. The only firm commitment is to arrive at the home of our friends Beth & Olivia on time!
The best part is that we are taking back roads wherever possible, which means great local mom and pop diners and beautiful county courthouses and town parks/playgrounds! We intend to stay at hotels with pools (of course! Nana even got squirt guns), visit a glass making factory, go birding, visit the oldest toy store in Indiana, visit the candy store with the largest gummy bear in the world, get Tessa a Jr Ranger National Parks Passport book and get it stamped at 2 different National Park properties, bird the lake-shore while eating Garrett's popcorn!, visit Chicago museums, dinner downtown and a carriage ride. Oh, and on the way home go birding and visit a real dairy farm!
